Dance Retreats
Salsa in Colombia
Imagine dancing salsa in Cali, the world’s salsa capital, with teachers who were born here. We take you into the small clubs where locals really dance. Then we fly you to Colombia’s Pacific coast, a wild place almost no traveller sees, to meet Afro-Colombian families who sing, cook and dance in a way no other part of Colombia does. This isn’t a salsa trip. It’s being let into our city, and then our country.
Bachata in the Dominican Republic
Imagine learning bachata in the country where the music was born. Most people who dance bachata have never been here. We start in Santo Domingo, the old capital, where bachata still lives on tiny sidewalk floors on a Thursday night. Then we take you to Las Terrenas, our home on the Dominican coast, where our Dominican teachers show you the slow traditional bachata the rest of the world forgot. You come for the dance. You leave with the country.
Samba in Brazil
Imagine learning samba where Africa landed in Brazil. Salvador da Bahia is where the drums, the food and the dance all come from. We bring you inside, not as tourists but with the local families and samba teachers we know by name. Then we take you south to Itacaré, where Atlantic rainforest meets empty beaches and the drums carry on around the fire. This isn’t samba lessons. It’s Brazil at its root.
