What you'll experience
This trip is a journey through the senses. It's about the feeling of learning a new rhythm, the taste of a fruit you've never seen, the awe of watching a whale breach at sunset and the pure joy of laughing with new friends who feel like family.
Where You'll Be
In Cali: You’ll be staying in a gorgeous, newly renovated boutique hostel in San Antonio, the safest and most colorful neighborhood in the city. Picture a beautiful pink colonial house, where you can walk to everything. You can choose your own adventure, from a cozy spot in a social dorm to your own private luxury suite. It's our home base in the city.
On the Pacific Coast: We’ll trade the city for raw, untouched nature. You'll stay in new boutique beach cabanas, waking up to the sounds of the jungle and the sight of the ocean right in front of you. This is a true hidden gem, far from any big tourist developments. Think mangroves, waterfalls, wild jungle, and an ocean that stretches on forever.

Dance & rhythm
10+ Dance Classes: Dive deep into the soul of Colombian dance. This isn't just about steps. It's about the story. Learn Salsa Caleña (the fast, intricate style born right here in Cali), from its roots in Boogaloo to the energy of Pachanga. Feel the powerful Afro-Colombian rhythms of Currulao, a dance that connects you directly to the Pacific coast's history. We’ll explore the movements that connect it all, the soul of Afro-Latin culture.
Salsa Museum: Get a dose of history at the Museo de la Salsa, a labor of love that tells the story of Cali's obsession with the genre.
5+ Local Sociales: This is where the magic happens. Every night, we’ll hit the best local dance spots. It’s not a show; it’s a party. You’ll be dancing alongside Caleños, with our dancer friends right there to pull you onto the floor. It's the best way to learn, and the most fun you'll ever have.
Music Workshops: Go beyond the dance and into the music itself. Learn about the instruments: the campana, the guïro and the maracas that create the unique rhythms of Salsa and The Pacific.
Culture & Community
Private salsa show: Your first night in Cali, get ready. Our incredible dancers will put on an intimate, powerful show just for our group. It’s the perfect welcome to the passion that awaits.
City & street food tour: Let Jafeth and Steven show you their Cali. We'll explore the city's vibrant streets, stopping at their favorite stalls for flavors you'd never find on your own. From fresh tropical fruits to pan de bono, it’s a feast for the senses.
Topa Tolondra: We’ll take you to this iconic Cali institution, a legendary spot for salsa dancing and pure Caleño energy.
Chiva rumbera: Hop on a brightly painted traditional "Chiva" bus for a classic Colombian party on wheels. Music, dancing and perreo sucio as we cruise through the city.
Horseback riding: Experience the unique landscapes of the Andes mountains around Cali the local way, on horseback. It’s a beautiful way to connect with the countryside.
Ancestral drink tasting: On the coast, we’ll taste traditional, ancestral beverages made from local ingredients. A connection to the region's deep history.
Curated Petronio Alvarez festival experience: This is the crown jewel. The Petronio Alvarez Festival is the biggest and most important celebration of Afro-Latin music and culture in the world. We won't just drop you off. Our local family will guide you through the best stages, the most authentic food stalls and the local parties that spring up everywhere. You'll experience it like an insider.
Nature & adventure
Island & beach tours: We'll explore the stunning coastline by boat. Visit La Sierpe (a magical mangrove forest), relax on the pristine sands of Playa Chucheros, and take a tour of the small, idyllic islotes (islets).
Whale Watching: From July to October, humpback whales come to the warm waters of the Pacific to birth and raise their calves. This is nature in its rawest, most breathtaking form. Forget big tourist boats. We’ll go out with local fishermen in their small boats. It’s just you, the ocean, and these magnificent creatures. An experience that will stay with you forever.
Jungle & waterfall hike: Our cabanas are surrounded by raw nature. We’ll take a hike through the jungle to discover a hidden waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip.

Lisa
A few years ago, Lisa (originally from Belgium) fell absolutely head-over-heels for Latin American culture and dance. When she started traveling as a digital nomad, she struggled to find the real experiences. The ones where you actually connect with local life, find the best street food and discover where the real dancers go after dark. So, she decided to create them. Her job is to make sure you feel completely taken care of, that you’re always laughing and that you taste the most incredible food of your life. I’m your host, your planner and your friend for the journey.

He is born and raised in Cali with a mom from the Pacific Coast. Jafeth has been building bridges into Colombia’s hidden tourist sides for over a decade. Starting as a tour guide at 16, becoming a professional dancer and managing hotels across the country, he knows Colombia like the back of his hand. He’s the one who will share the history behind the rhythm, introduce you to his family’s favorite spots and make you feel the pride and soul of his country. With Jafeth, you're not just seeing Colombia, you're seeing it through the eyes of someone who loves it unconditionally.

Born and raised in Cali, Steven is a force of nature and a genuinely beautiful soul. He was Lisa’s first dance teacher, and his insane talent, his passion for teaching and his huge heart are what inspired Baila’mor. With over 10 years of experience, he’s not just a teacher, he’s a beloved figure in Cali’s dance scene. He’s a foodie, a storyteller and he will personally make it his mission to ensure you have the absolute best time of your life in his city.
And then there’s our extended family. We’re collaborating with some of the best dancers in the region: our friends, not just hired teachers. They’ll be teaching you, dancing with you at the sociales, and sharing their world. You’ll be exploring from the inside, not as a tourist.
